For the last two weeks, I have been asking myself why the congressional republicans have not repealed Obamacare yet or moved any legislation. I’m not sure…I guess these things take time but I’m starting to doubt whether the republicans will make good on their promises.
Another frustration is that the democrats continue to hold up the confirmation of Trump’s cabinet. I am pleased to say that Tillerson, Sessions, Perry, Carson, Mnuchin and Wilbur Ross have been sworn in but there are still key high level positions in these departments that need to be filled.
The most interesting event of Week 5 was the CPAC discussion between Steve Bannon and Reince Priebus. Rumors swirl that these two are locked in a power struggle. Speaking of CPAC, it was a very bad week for the invited keynote speaker, Milo, who got uninvited due to the surfacing of unsavory videos in which he appears to be advocating for pedophilia.
The BEST of Week 6 was Trump’s address to the joint sesssion of congress. Even the Mao-loving commie, Van Jones, praised Trump’s speech. https://youtu.be/54Q9TYO3X-M
The worst of Week 6 was that Jeff Sessions nearly became the latest victim of the Democrats’ Russian witchhunt. I was disappointed to see republicans like Jason Chaffetz and Darrell Issa join the hysteria before all facts came to light. By the end of the work day, Sessions agreed to recuse himself from any investigation involving the Trump’s campaign with Russia. Tucker Carlson had a must-see interview with Sessions after this all went down. https://youtu.be/qNF6upYBSBY
