Today’s example of why Breitbart News is not a credible source

By Tom Tillison

Today’s example of why Breitbart News is not a credible source centers on “journalist” Matthew Boyle.

In his eagerness to denigrate Republican presidential contender Marco Rubio as an establishment candidate, Boyle jumped on a Huffington Post story Sunday that claimed Mitt Romney endorsed Rubio following his impressive second place finish Saturday in the South Carolina primary.

One small problem though — Romney has yet to endorse Rubio.

“Well that report is false,” Rubio said Sunday on CNN. “I have no reason to believe that he’s anywhere near endorsing anyone.”

Sorry Boyle, but feel free to play again!

Ironically, Breitbart News reported that Rubio denied the rumor… and while Boyle likely posted his tweet before the article was published, we don’t blame him if doesn’t trust his own website as a news source.
