Liberal Echo Chamber

While you were doing your Christmas shopping, Democrats were busy making sure your vote won’t count in future elections. Your vote is your voice in a democracy. Not having a secure election process opens the door to voter fraud and invalidates the voting results. If this doesn’t disenfranchise voters I don’t know what will.

In the past few months we have heard the meme of “voter suppression” in the liberal echo chamber. And, now it is creeping into the national conversation. They have gone so far as to equate photo identification voting requirements with the anti-racial Jim Crow laws! From U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, from Bill Clinton to Bill Nelson, the democrats have one message: voter suppression!

Because Florida is crucial to Obama’s reelection, there will be a battle for the ballot in our backyard.

The first murmur of voter suppression to enter the liberal echo chamber came from a report released by the left leaning think tank Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School. Curiously, according to the Media Research Center Network, the Brennan Center and NYU have received over $10 million between 2000 and 2010 from George Soros’ Open Society Institute.

Democrats raise specific concerns that photo identification requirements will suppress 11% of the voting age population, a statistic put forth by the Brennan Center study. However, the “voting age population” includes illegal immigrants, non-citizens and felons. A more accurate, but smaller, study found that of registered voters only 1.4% do not have photo identification.

Nevertheless, democrats are setting the stage in Florida battle to sway public perception. Democrat Senator Bill Nelson is hosting a hearing of the Congressional Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Rights in Tampa on January 27 to determine if the Florida Legislature’s voter law changes violate anybody’s civil rights in 5 counties. Third party voter registration organizations such as the League of Women Voters (LWV), Rock the Vote, and Florida PIRG FUND filed a lawsuit in Florida. While these organizations charade as nonpartisan entities and enjoy tax exemption status, they align themselves with the Democrat Party platform on every issue and operate as shadows of the political party. Look for democrats to distribute their talking points with key phrases in the form of editorials to be run in every Florida newspaper.

Then there is the U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder who will be leading the federal assault on the states that want to ensure the integrity of the the voting process. This is the same Department of Justice under Holder’s watch that sees no voter intimidation problem with New Black Panthers posting a guard in para-military uniform armed with billy stick posted at a polling station.

When democrats like Debbie Wasserman-Shultz trivialize voter fraud concerns, they ignore the 2009 11 ACORN arrests in Florida alone (there were more arrests nationwide), the 2010 ballot fraud arrests in Daytona Beach and last month’s voter fraud arrests in Madison County, FL that included the supervisor of elections.

From a flawed research report dripping in liberal bias to fake outraged from Democrat front groups, the liberal echo chamber is creating a perception that republicans are suppressing the vote. However, any reasonable person realizes that precautions must be taken to verify the integrity of the voting process.

To make sure every vote counts, the ballot box must be protected!
